Sunrise Children’s Festival 2017 Announces Line-Up

Sunrise Children’s Festival at Brigit’s Garden is back for 2017 and have just announced their full line-up across four stages, showcasing the best in children’s entertainment with live music, theatre, magicians, puppeteers and much more.

This year’s line-up includes performances from Cula Bula, The Clandestinos, Ikarumba, Sid Bowfin, Kidisco, Kyle Riley and Punchlion Comedy. Carrot Puppet Theatre will be enchanting the crowds with walk-about performances throughout the weekend.

A special pirate-themed area by Big Bubbles with giant wooden games will also include the popular Angry Birds catapult game.  Children can also participate in African Drumming and Didge “N” Beatbox workshops.

Down to Earth green crafts will be showing children how to make Mexican Eye Gods, Swords and Medallions and introducing them to the wealth of crafts than can be made out of forest materials.

If it all gets too busy, the star-gazer hammock area and family chill-out zone are perfect places to rest ahead of the fire-spectacular on Saturday evening.  And for older kids we have added an exciting Tag Archery field game and a science and educational tent featuring Imaginosity, called “What’s the Big Idea?”

“Last year the Sunrise Children’s Festival proved to be a paradise for kids and their families, a celebration of music, creativity, nature and all things magical in the beautiful Celtic gardens and surrounding woodlands – and this year will even better!” says Brigit’s Garden Director Jenny Beale.

Sunrise Children’s Festival takes place on July 29th & 30th in Brigit’s Garden, Roscahill, Co. Galway. Day and weekend tickets are available at and prices begin at €25. Brigit’s Garden is a not-for-profit organisation and all proceeds go to support the Gardens.

The pilgrims absolutely loved being at the garden and got a great deal from the workshop. It provided a good foundation for the rest of the trip and was one of the highlights of the pilgrimage. Thank you so much. JC tours

There is no better or more powerful place to step into the pilgrimage energy, to sink into the rhythms and cycles of the Earth as we begin to explore the rhythms and cycles of our own lives. The setting, the gracious and welcoming people, the Roundhouse and the fabulous food are a delightful dance of the senses for all who visit. Judith Nilan, Stonefire Tours
