Ilona represents Brigit’s Garden at the Volunteer Fair
There was no better woman than Ilona, who took on the challenge of meeting and greeting potential Brigit’s Garden volunteers at the recent Volunteer Fair in Clybaun Hotel.
Over 1,000 people turned up on the day – double the numbers on last year! Isn’t that a great reflection of the people of Ireland who illustrate how willing and able they are to roll up their sleeves and get involved in their local community?
Ilona met some really fantastic people who we have no doubt will play a valuable role in Brigit’s Garden success in the near future. Throughout the year, we rely on our volunteers to keep us going. They do everything from sowing seeds and raking leaves to painting faces and entertaining guests! We couldn't do it without them and we appreciate each and every person who comes to Brigit's Garden to help.
If you think you could be persuaded to try your hand at volunteering at Brigit’s Garden, then we would welcome any assistance. Here are some of the roles that may be of interest to you.
|Garden Volunteer||General gardening Thursdays 10am-12.30pm|
|Special Event Volunteer||See events calendar for upcoming events|
|Summer Camp Volunteer||Group leader’s assistant|
|Reception Volunteer||Half a day per week to greet visitors|
We reimburse all volunteers' expenses and provide refreshments while here. If you're interested in getting involved at Brigit's Garden, we would love to hear from you! Give us a ring at 091 550905 or email us at info@BrigitsGarden.ie
