Spring for Schools at Brigit's Garden
Springtime is an exciting time for schools at Brigit's Garden with our popular Spring programme and special activities for Engineers Week.
Students on the spring programme can sow seeds and learn about planting herbs and vegetables in the newly-designed education space in our polytunnel. We will go searching for signs of spring in the woodland and meadows, and bring St. Brigit stories and traditions alive in the Celtic Gardens.
Engineers Week 2017
Become an engineer for a day at Brigit's Garden as part of Engineers Week 2017, from 4th - 10th March! We are hosting some special activities such as designing and testing your own small-scale wind turbine blades, experimenting with hydroelectric power and seeing solar and biomass energy technologies in action. A great opportunity to spark enthusiasm about the engineering profession among young people.
Three hour workshops available for primary classes (€9.50 per student) and post-primary groups (€12 per student).
