Sunrise Frequently Asked Questions
Q) Do you have tents/campers already set up there or do you bring your own? What are the camping facilities?
A) People who are planning to camp overnight must bring their own camping gear. There will be more tent space than campervan space- these will be limited. Access to the camping area for tents will be by foot so travel lightly. The campsite area will have basic facilities such as overhead lighting to guide people to the Festival Area, portaloos and an access point to running water. There will be no electricity points for campervans/caravans or trailer tents to access. There will be no showers or hot water available either.
Foodwise campers will be able to access Artisan food stalls and the Garden Café & Bar in the main festival area. Families will also have access to picnic tables and some indoor seating.
Those who chose to bring a campervan, caravan or trailer tent will park in a separate area and will incur a charge of €30. There will be no tents allowed to park in this area due to health and safety reasons.
Q) We have a caravan not a campervan- is this ok?
A) Yes of course. Those who chose to bring a campervan, caravan or trailer tent will park in a separate area to the tent camping area and will incur a charge of €30. There will be no tents allowed to park in this area due to health and safety reasons.
Q) Will the site be wheelchair accessible?
Yes the festival main site will be wheelchair accessible and is open to people of all abilities. There is a wheelchair toilet at the Brigit’s Garden visitors centre and temporary wheelchair toilets in locations throughout the site. The outer parts of Brigit’s Garden- meadows and Esker wood areas are not however wheelchair accessible.
Q) Can I bring my dog?
A) Unfortunately no. Brigit’s Garden will be operating a “no pets policy” on the days of the festival for the wellbeing of all the children and families attending.
Q) Is there a discount for Brigit's Garden Members?
A) Yes, all Brigit's Garden Members are entitled to a 10% discount on the ticket price.
Q) How far away is the campsite from the festival?
A) The campsite will be within short walking distance of the main festival area. There will be an limited number of wheelbarrows to help transfer your camping gear. Please bring a trolley if you have one.
Q) Where is Brigit's Garden?
A) Driving along the N59 from Galway city you will pass through a small town called Moycullen. Follow the festival traffic signs. A few kilometres after this you will reach the small village of Roscahill. You will then see a brown heritage signpost on the left hand side of the road with Brigit's Garden name on it pointing to Turn Right. Take this right and the entrance to Brigit's Garden is on the left approximately 2km from this turn (after the community centre and church on the left hand-side).
For those using GPS or Google Maps, they may direct you turn right at Connemara Motors but it is more efficient if you continue onwards with the festival traffic signs.
